To begin go to 'Settings' and then click on the tab called 'Other'.

Click in the field below 'Timezone'. This will open a drop menu that gives you two options. You can either scroll through the list until you find the region and time you want or you can type it directly into the blank field and click search. Your selections will be presented below the search bar. Click on the blue bar to activate the timezone. If you are not making any other changes then click on the save button.

The link shortener is turned on by default. If however, you would like to turn it off and have the full link used when syndicating and promoting content then uncheck the 'Shorten Automatically' box.

TROUBLESHOOTING TIP: If you are posting content and you do not see a kud.nu link (this is our own link shortener) then make sure to come into the settings and see if the box is checked or not. Once you are done click on the save button for it to take effect.

The left menu margin can be sized according to your needs. Smaller screen sizes may work better with a narrower sidebar, while larger ones may prefer a wider view. The size is measured in percentages. An ideal value would be 13 for a screen that is 17" inches or wider. Once you've made your selection click on the save button and refresh your screen.

Type in the word or phrase just as you would like to see it in your posts. Then click the save button. Some common preferences include via, read more, resource, or reference.

Whether you make just one change or a number of changes remember to always click the save button.
