How to Create a Template in Amplify
In this tutorial you will learn how to create a new template from scratch for your social posting.
1. Create New
Start by going to the 'Compose' section in the left sidebar. On the right hand side in the 'Amplify' tab click on 'Create New' button.

2. Name Your Template
Enter a unique name for your sequence template in the pop up window that appears and click 'OK'

3. Add Channel
Now you will be prompted to select a channel for your first snippet (the text that will go in your first social post). Select the social channel you want and then click on the 'Add' button.

4. Adding More Channels
After you have added your first channel you can then add as many social channels as you like to the snippet for that one post. This means that the text that is then displayed in the snippet field will be published to all of the channels selected. For example in the image below you see a Twitter channel is added. If a Facebook channel is added as well to this same snipped then the content will be published to both of these channels.

5. Adding Additional Snippets
To add more snippets click on the 'Add Another' button below the last snippet created. Each time you click on this button it will add a new snippet with each being a new post that you publish. As indicated in the step above you can add multiple social channels to each of the snippets.

6. Autosave
As you add additional snippets to your template they will be periodically AUTOSAVED. To know whether or not your template has been autosaved check the 'Save Template' button. If the button opacity is decreased and the button is deactivated, meaning unclickable, it means that the changes have been saved. If the button is clickable then you need to manually click it to save your changes. The screenshot below shows the 'Save Template' button deactivated with decreased opacity. So the changes have all been saved and you are free to leave this section.

7. Edits, Posting Times, and Saving
With each snippet you should change the posting times according to your social posting schedule. For example, you may want the first post to go out on the same day that the post was published, the second one day later, etc. Click on the ellipses button to open the date change pop up. In that window you can select the number of days from posting and time that you want your post published. With each change that you make the 'Save Template' button will be triggered. As above in the previous step it is important that you check to see if this button is active or inactive. If the button is clickable you need to click on it to save your changes. Make sure you do this before leaving this area otherwise your changes will not be saved in your template.
