On-Page SEO Analysis

The Analysis tool will quickly analyze your content for on-page SEO markers to ensure that your article is optimized for search engines.

1. Primary & Secondary Keywords

Begin by ensuring that you have selected your primary and secondary keywords. In the image below you will see 'what is content marketing' as the primary keyword, and 'content marketing strategy' and 'content marketing software' as the secondary keywords. If you are unsure of how to add the keywords please refer to the article titled 'Navigating The Keyword Tool'.

In this image you can see the article and keywords side-by-side.

2. Analysing Content

Next you want to analyse the content. This is done simply by clicking on the 'Analyse Content' button. The results are almost instantaneous however if there is a delay please wait until it is done.

The content score breakdown is shown in red and green. Red refers to a marker that requires attention, whereas green indicates that the marker has been checked and verified. To fix the red markers follow the instructions shown. For example, if it says 'h2 tags - No tags found'. This requires that you add an h2 tag in the article using either the primary or secondary keyword. Once you have made that change click on the 'Analyse Content' button again to change the marker to green. Once all the markers are green your article is optimized for SEO.

Please Note: You should leave the h1 tag red. WordPress will automatically make the title h1 so you do NOT need to add this tag. Also, you can leave the 'Title Keywords - secondary keyword' red as well. You do not need to add all of your keywords in the title. The primary keyword is most important in the title.
